I’d like to share a revolutionary idea with you.
Across the country, a food renaissance is happening. People are returning to their roots – they want to know the truth about where they food was grown. Is it local?
My wife’s side of the family is full of farmers on the forefront of the local food movement in Toledo, OH. Uncle David is famous for his sweet corn. Aunt Cindy runs a greenhouse with exotic varietals. Cousin Kurt runs his farm as a CSA, where people pre-order shares of each year’s harvest.
Soon, I want to add a new element to the family’s local food efforts: wine making.
I want to be the local vintner who introduces you to the wonder and satisfaction of the farm to bottle experience. I’m ready to go commercial, but I have a purpose and a plan.
Here’s the plan:
- You should try my homemade wine (free of charge, I don’t sell it. I’m not commercial).
- If you’ve tried my wine, you should tell me what you think.
- If you like my wine, you should sign-up for my email list.
- Tell the world.
This plan won’t work without you.

PS…
I’m sure you’re wondering what kind of wine I make – white / red, sweet / dry… My first batch was crafted to taste like “Carrot Cake”. It was sweet and acidic with hints of cinnamon and vanilla.
Here are some batches that I currently have in the works:
- Cucumber Jalapeno
- Watermelon, Elderberry, Rhubarb (“Elder Waterbarb”)
- Caramel Corn
- Kohlrabi Rosemary
Interested in these upcoming batches? We want your feedback…
